Storytellers for Change is an organization dedicated to empowering individuals and groups to harness the power of storytelling as a catalyst for social transformation. Established in 2010 by Luis Ortega, the organization focuses on equipping changemakers—including educators, youth, nonprofit professionals, and community leaders—with the skills to craft and share impactful narratives that promote empathy, equity, and systemic change .​

​Latinos for Education is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2016, dedicated to increasing Latino leadership and influence within the U.S. education sector. It is the first Latino-founded and led organization solely focused on creating leadership pathways for Latinos in education.

​The NSHSS Educator of Distinction award, formally known as the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction, is a prestigious honor presented by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). Nominations are made by NSHSS student members who wish to acknowledge educators who have inspired them to strive for excellence in all aspects of life.
